Jenny Saville at the National Portrait Gallery

One of the UK’s most iconic painters, Jenny Saville, will be the subject of an exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery (NPG) in London next year. Opening on June 20, 2025, Jenny Saville: The Anatomy of Painting will feature 50 works created throughout the artist’s career from the 1990s to the present day.

Another key exhibition, dedicated to Edvard Munch's portraits, will also debut at the NPG next year, showcasing paintings of friends, lovers, writers, artists, patrons, and collectors from the 19th century, along with a series of self-portraits. The Edvard Munch portraits exhibition will open before Saville's, on March 13, 2025, with support from the AKO Foundation, a charitable fund established in 2013 by Norwegian entrepreneur Nicolai Tangen.
